Forty‑five years on the Cross

Sydney learned to drink coffee here.

Two laminex rooms, an espresso machine, and a generation of filmmakers, writers and regulars deciding what they were gunna do next. In 1993, two hundred people crammed across both rooms for the first Tropfest, and the festival took its name from the café.
